The Director of IFAD's Near East and North Africa Division, Nadim Khouri was present alongside representatives of the JP partnership, local authorities, programme staff and community representatives.

Foundation Week
From 31 May to 4 June 2010, BFFS took part in Foundation Week in Brussels, organized by the European Foundation Centre to bring together all major European and world-wide Foundations. The JP presentation was organized in close cooperation with IFAD, FAO and the Salzburg Global Seminar.

25th Anniversary of the BFFS
The year 2009 marked the 25th Anniversary of the BFFS. A week of events was organized at IFAD headquarters to celebrate this important event. Celebrations began with an official opening at IFAD headquarters in the presence of the President of IFAD and the Belgian Ambassador to Italy, His Excellency Jan de Bock, and ended with an African dinner. Twenty-one representatives from BFFS projects in Africa attended the celebrations.
