Small Farmers and Landless Credit Project

The objective of the project was to test the effectiveness of delivery of credit and financial services to rural poor people to enable them to improve their living conditions by undertaking such activities as income-generating off-farm enterprises. The project supported rural credit, training and community development, and it provided technical assistance and management support. It helped rural poor people form groups and train members, with the aim of developing local institutions.
