Enabling poor rural people
to overcome poverty

At the core of IFAD's Environment and Natural Resource Management Policy (ENRM) are 10 principles. Best-practice statements provide specific guidance for project design. Case studies of IFAD-supported loans and grants demonstrate how the principles interact in communities and across landscapes.  They show how IFAD works on economic, social and environmental challenges in integrated ways to enable poor rural people to escape from and remain out of poverty, building more-productive and resilient livelihoods and ecosystems.

You will see the graphic below linked to stories and initiatives to demonstrate which principles are interacting in communities and across landscapes in that specific example.
