The six roundtables are being held with a view to receive comments and inputs on the draft strategies.

It is expected that the regional roundtables will be chaired by the following members from the region:

• Ms Teresita Quinto-Deles, Secretary of the Anti-Poverty Commission, in the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines - Asia and the Pacific;
• H.E. Dr Ivan Angelov, Ambassador of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Agencies in Rome - Central and Eastern Europe and the Newly Independent States;
• H.E. Wiburforce Kisamba-Mugerwa, Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries of the Republic of Uganda - Eastern and Southern Africa;
• H.E. Salvador Urrutia Loucel, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock of the Republic of El Salvador - Latin America and the Caribbean;
• H.E. Nour Alden Mouna, Minister for Agriculture and Agrarian Reform of the Syrian Arab Republic - Near East and North Africa; and
• H.E. Papua Diouf, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development of the Republic of Senegal and Mr Sékou Oumar Tall, President of the Permanent Assembly of the Chambers of Agriculture - the Republic of Mali - Western and Central Africa
