On 25 May 2011, Dr David Nabarro presented the opportunities and challenges associated with increasing the sensitivity of IFAD's core work to food security and nutrition issues in the context of the Comprehensive Framework for Action on Food Security and Nutrition (CFA) of the High-level Task Force. These  are topics of increasing importance for IFAD operations and strategic partnerships, particularly in the context of food price volatility and growing international concern regarding food insecurity and undernutrition.
