Farmers' views first: Linking land and water governance

Farmers' Views First: Linking Land and Water Governance
Convenor: International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)
Date: Sunday, August 15, 14:00-16:30
Venue: Stockholm International Water Institute - FH/Room 203

Description

For farmers, the linkages between land and water governance issues are self-evident. These linkages are not so obvious, however, in the work undertaken by the international development networks and technical cooperation communities. With the aim to contribute farmer “reality checks” leading to increased consideration of land issues in integrated water resources management, IFAD will present examples of its experience in land and water governance reflecting farmers’ points of view. A synthesis of these experiences and outlooks will be presented to launch a discussion comparing approaches, their applicability and their replication potential.
