The second global meeting of the Farmers' Forum took place on 11 and 12 February 2008 in conjunction with the Thirty-first session of IFAD's Governing Council. The Forum brought together about 80 farmers' leaders from around the world. It:
The first meeting of the Farmers’ Forum took place in Rome on 13 and 14 February 2006, bringing together 162 representatives at the ministerial level and more than 50 leaders, representing millions of small farmers and rural producers, from Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Near East and Europe who interacted with IFAD staff and selected partners. |
