The Office of Audit and Oversight (AUO) rigorously safeguards the confidentiality of all information it receives, including the identity of anyone making a complaint or reporting a concern about wrongdoing.

IFAD has a further commitment to protect from retaliation anyone who in good faith has reported alleged fraud, corruption and misconduct or who has otherwise cooperated with an investigation.

However, if AUO determines that the information it receives is malicious or deliberately false, IFAD will take appropriate action.
