International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is committed to developing young professionals for an exciting career in development work and poverty eradication. EAPOP is designed for highly qualified, motivated young people with a passion for development work and supported by academic success. The following are minimum requirements to be eligible for EAPOP:

• Be 32 years of age or younger;
• Be nationals from developing countries;
• Have a first degree in a relevant discipline. IFAD’s areas of capability include: natural resources – land and water; agricultural technologies; financial services; agricultural inputs and product markets; enterprise development; policy and programming; indigenous people; and gender;
• Two years relevant professional experience; and
• A working knowledge of English would be essential; knowledge of another official IFAD language – Arabic, French or Spanish would be desirable and may be necessary depending on the region of assignment.

This is a highly competitive opportunity; applicants will be selected where they demonstrate: developing country experience; outstanding academic credentials; and logical reasoning.
