Main tasks and responsibilities of the position:
- Integrate new photography into existing web-based library.
- Develop an archiving and captioning system for digital photography collection.
- Implement an efficient and effective digital work flow system for processing and archiving digital photographs and captions.
- Input to the development of relevant photographic essays.
- Other duties as required qualifications.
Education:
Post-secondary graduate or student engaged in a course of study leading to a formal qualification in an approved university programme at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Experience:
- Advanced knowledge and use of Adobe Photoshop CS4 and experience in using other photo imaging and service software.
- Advanced skills and experience in implementing digital workflow and archiving practises.
- Sound knowledge of Universal Photographic Digital Imaging Guidelines (UPDIG).
- Good writing skills in English.
Languages:
- Fluency in English.
- Working knowledge of a second UN official language desirable.
Additional information:
The duration of an internship is limited to maximum six months.
Interns are paid a lump sum amount of USD600 per month and must cover all expenses for travel and hold a medical insurance coverage. Full details on the terms of employment and eligibility are set out in the IFAD website.
