Date: 12-13 January 2009
Venue: IFAD headquarters
The goal of the workshop is to contribute to “Innovative Knowledge Management Approach for Technical Advisory Services” which aims to connect “committed and interested” people through Communities of Practice (CoP). The CoP's objective is to facilitate creation, sharing, and use of knowledge to improve effectiveness of rural development and poverty reduction programmes.
This learning effort will provide an opportunity to:
- identify common priority needs, strategies and areas of actions among CoPs stakeholders
- get to know participant’ views and experiences on livestock/fisheries and aquaculture related issues
- provide a common ground for building new partnerships and establishing new strategic working relationships among development partners to promote livestock as a commodity for poverty reduction.
The workshop website provides you with the latest presentations, working papers and web and podcasts of the different sessions. You can also follow the workshop through the Blog and Skype (IFAD.CoP). If you do not have access to these web2.0 technology please send your comments and feedback via email to s.sperandini@ifad.org. A moderator will synthesize the comments and questions and present these to the conference participants in Rome.
This workshop was made possible thanks to a grant received from the innovation mainstreaming initiative and cofinanced through Italian and Finnish supplementary funds.
