WASHINGTON, D.C. – The President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Kanayo F. Nwanze, will join G8 leaders, heads of state or government from Africa, and leaders from business, international organizations and civil society, to discuss new initiatives to advance global agricultural development, food and nutrition security in Africa.
The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, will host an event that features announcements of significant new business commitments for African agriculture and discussions on addressing hunger and poverty in the changing development landscape.

Nwanze will share his vision at the Symposium on Global Agriculture and Food Security panel discussion: Advancing Food and Nutrition Security at the 2012 G8 Summit FARM FUTURES: Increasing trade to drive economic growth. Nwanzewill identify opportunities to increase intra-African trade and link countries to regional and global agricultural markets. |
