The Executive Board reviewed the COSOP for the Arab Republic of Egypt (document EB 2002/75/R.15). The comments raised regarding its contents related to operationalization and coordination with the Canadian and Dutch bilateral donor efforts with respect to water management and with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in promotion of the private sector. With regard to rural finance, Directors called for a more participatory approach involving non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and private banks.
