Umutara Community Resource and infrastructure development
project
Responding to a request of the gouvernment
to finance a development project in the Umutara Province,
and in accordance with the strategy adopted in the CASOP of
May 1999, an IFAD mission formuleted the Umutara Community
Resource and Infrastructure Development Project (UCRIDP).
The report was reviewed in January 2000 and an evaluation
mission , authorised by IFAD Management , was field immediatthereafter.
IFAD’s strategy in Rwanda focuses on food production,
soil conservation and reclamation, productivity enhancement,
environment conservation , and community-driven planning and
implementaqtion.
