Solution

Construction of irrigation system to provide water to the fields

Construction of Khe Su dam at the place of Mr. Phat's house, construction of spillway, sluice, canal system into the fields, main canal passes Mrs. Thanh's house to Khe Se spring, sewer on National Road No.12

There are two branches of canal N 1:

+ First branch runs through the village, along the road to irrigate the paddy fields at Tan Ly (25 ha).

+ Second branch across Mang bridge and Sat spring to irrigate the fields of Pheo and Mai (30 ha).

On canal Works:

+ 1 bridge across Sat spring

+ 3 drains

+ Many inlets

Conduct training courses on the techniques of irrgation and drainage

What farmers do ?

Make proposal for irrigation struction and new variety supply

- Participating in design

- Contributing labors in construction.

Managing, protecting and using the scheme appropriately

Partictipating in technical training courses

What Project do ?

Support for survey and design of irrigation schemes

Support to have scheme constructed

Conducting technical training courses

What line Departments do ?

DARD (Irrigation division) makes the design (of dam, reservoir, canals, inlets and outlets ...)

DARD defines and provides new varieties appropriate with irrigated condition

Trainers in irrigation technique sent by DARD- Irrigation Division.

Opportunities

This locality has potentiality in irrigation (reservoir, pump station ...). Local people are eager for the scheme and ready to contribute labors.

Local people have consciousness in protecting scheme for long-term exploitation.

Risks

Assets damage: moving one house (Mr.Phat's), 3 gardens (Mr.Tho's, Mr. Xuan's and Mr.Tuyen's).

Effective

56 ha of rice-fields will be actively irrigated; structure of cultivation will be positively changed; new varieties appear; production yield increases and living standard improved.

Description

Difficulties

Advantages

Benefit

-Livestock is done around the year

-Weather is cold, cattle slowly develop, diseases happen

-No new species, low income; grass land is small, difficult to increase the number of cattle; lack of fodder for pigs; low living standard; lack of fund to develop livestock.

-Selling pigs and cattle

-Low price

Solutions
