IFAD’s operational environment and, consequently, its work are becoming more diverse, complex and uncertain. Overall, the sources of risks faced by IFAD are varied, and include programmatic, reputational, operational, legal, organizational, administrative, financial, technical and environmental factors.

Risks are interrelated, and often cannot be fully and directly controlled by IFAD Management. The management of risks is therefore complex.
