Call for Proposals: Indigenous Peoples Assistance Facility (IPAF)

The IPAF Call for Proposals 2022 is closed

The Indigenous Peoples Assistance Facility (IPAF) is based on the principle of Indigenous Peoples' self-determined development within the framework of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

The sixth IPAF cycle focuses on advancing indigenous peoples’ conservation and sustainable management of biodiversity for adaptation and resilience to climate change.

During this cycle, IPAF will fund 30 small projects designed by indigenous peoples, building on their culture, knowledge, natural resources, and human rights. Small grants of US$ 20,000 to US$ 70,000 will support these projects and will be co-managed by partner organizations in Asia and the Pacific, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Before you apply make sure that you read the following documents:

The Facility invites applications from Indigenous Peoples' communities and their organizations. Priority will be given to proposals with a strong focus on gender mainstreaming, women's empowerment, youth and indigenous people with disabilities.

Apply here.

The deadline for applications is Tuesday 27 September 23:59 (CEST). We highly suggest that applicants avoid submitting their applications at the last minute.

IPAF is co-managed and coordinated by these indigenous peoples’ organisations: Foro Internacional de Mujeres Indígenas (for Latin America and the Caribbean), Samburu Women Trust (for Africa) and Tebtebba (for Asia and the Pacific).

With thanks to our partners from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and The David and Lucile Packard Foundation for their support.
