Climate change is the most compelling challenge facing the world today. For rural smallholders across the developing world, increasing temperatures and drought, erratic rainfall, floods, higher sea levels and a growing number of pests and diseases are reducing yields, creating uncertainties and endangering their livelihoods.

These effects pose a grave threat to their own, and to the world’s food security.
