Like thousands of poor farmers living on the slopes of East Mount Kenya, Christine Mugure Munene used to depend on seasonal rains to water her crops. Now she has water whenever she wants.
The water flows not just because there are more tubes and pumps to push it along but because farmers like Christine are now working together to conserve water resources by protecting rivers and planting trees.
