The “Financial Management throughout the project cycle” course covers key FM aspects of the Project Cycle.

The course is embedded in the broader scope of the Operations Academy (OPAC), and is articulated in three modules: Design, Implementation and Supervision. The course will take approximately 120 minutes to complete.

The overarching objective of the training is to promote a common understanding of a set of key Financial Management principles, practices and requirements as applied within the context of IFAD-funded projects. Moreover, the course will also contribute to further clarify and explain the role of the Finance Officer and the Financial Management Services Division within IFAD corporate structure.

The course is aimed at strengthening the financial management skills of IFAD‘s workforce especially people working in operations. To them, the training will offer a comprehensive overview of the underlying Financial Management requirements that shape the fiduciary mandate of IFAD when managing its funds.
