Togo Country Strategic Opportunities Programme 2022-2027

COSOP 2022–2027 for the Togolese Republic aims to accelerate the transformation of family farming in the country and its adaptation to climate change for the sustainable reduction of poverty and for increased food and nutrition security through three strategic objectives:

1. Develop inclusive production systems that provide access for small-scale producers and their organizations to efficient and climate-resilient technologies and knowledge;
2. Facilitate the integration of family farms, rural women and youth into agricultural markets and business partnerships with a view to increasing added value and creating employment opportunities by taking advantage of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) opportunities;
3. Institutionalize inclusive dialogue at the sectoral level with the active involvement of producer’s organizations, regional governments, the private sector and civil society organizations in the processes of preparing, implementing and coordinating strategies and programmes in the agricultural sector.
