Lead Portfolio Advisor
Henrik Franklin is a Lead Portfolio Advisor for the East and Southern Africa Division at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). As Lead Portfolio Advisor, Franklin is responsible for quality assurance throughout the project cycle, notably providing project implementation support, reviewing supervision and completion reports, monitoring portfolio performance and results reporting, strengthening partnerships and promoting learning and knowledge management.
Before joining the Fund in 2014, Franklin served as Chief Quality Assurance Officer at the African Development Bank (AfDB). Prior to that, he worked on portfolio management in the AfDB’s field office in Mozambique. He has also worked as natural resources specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) headquarters and field offices in Honduras and Ecuador, as well as for the European Commission in Vietnam.
Franklin holds a M.Sc. degree in Biology from Stockholm University.
