Indran A. Naidoo
Indran A. Naidoo is Director of the Independent Office of Evaluation. He is responsible for promoting accountability and learning in IFAD, thus contributing to the improvement of the operational performance of IFAD for better development effectiveness. He reports directly to the Executive Board.
Indran is a globally experienced evaluation thought leader and manager who brings in over 25 years of experience in the field. He has held several senior positions, most recently as the Director of the Independent Evaluation Office of UNDP (2012-2020).
Prior to joining UNDP, Indran served as the Deputy Director-General of Monitoring and Evaluation at the Public Service Commission of South Africa, the country’s constitutional oversight body.
Indran holds a D. Phil (Evaluation) from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa and Master’s degree in Geography (Distinction) from West Virginia University, USA. He has published widely and made keynotes at most continental and global evaluation and development events.
