IFAD and Kuwait agree to strengthen efforts to support small-scale farmers

IFAD and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development signed a co-financing agreement to strengthen efforts to support small-scale farming and improve food security today in Riyadh, during the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification.

The State of Kuwait played a major role in the establishment of IFAD in 1977 and has been a key supporter of IFAD for the past 46 years.
