IFAD Poverty Targeting Policy 2023
Targeting ensures that IFAD reaches, benefits and empowers its target group, that is people living in poverty in rural areas, as well as vulnerable populations at risk of falling into poverty in rural geographies, with a continuing priority on the poorest and most excluded including those who are food-insecure.
IFAD’s Targeting Policy defines the target group; principles for identifying, reaching, benefiting and empowering the target group; guidance on implementation; and action and accountability mechanisms for the policy’s implementation.
