Internal Control Framework
IFAD's Internal Control Framework outlines a process for achieving objectives related to operations, reporting and compliance. It integrates several control mechanisms into one framework and establishes standards and accountability for operating the internal control system through:
- objectives and benefits;
- components of internal control, including the relevant policies, procedures, tools and responsible units; and
- responsibilities of managers and personnel for the development, implementation, monitoring and improvement of policies and tools.
