Burundi Country Strategic Opportunities Programme 2022-2027
The COSOP’s goal is to reduce poverty and fragility affecting smallholder producers through the sustainable improvement of their incomes, food security, nutrition and socio-ecological resilience. This will be achieved through three strategic objectives (SOs):
- SO1: increased productivity, sustainability and climate resilience of smallholder farming in priority value chains;
- SO2: enhanced value addition and benefits from market participation for rural women and youth;
- SO3: strengthened institutional governance for food systems transformation through capacity-building, stronger coordination and inclusiveness.
