Republic of Guatemala Country Strategic Opportunities Programme 2022-2027
The overall goal of Guatemala's COSOP is to reduce poverty and food insecurity among rural people living in vulnerable conditions in the poorest areas of the country, with special emphasis on indigenous peoples, women, youth and persons with disabilities.
The COSOP is grounded in two strategic objectives
- Rural smallholders living in poverty have access to equitable and sustainable livelihoods; and
- Poor rural households belonging to the most vulnerable communities improve their adaptive capacity and resilience to climate change and instability.
