Cooperative Republic of Guyana - Country Strategy Note (2021-2022)
The rationale for this CSN is to catalyze systemic changes at a crucial time for the country, when oil and gas revenues are starting to flow.
IFAD’s engagement and financing aims to contribute to an inclusive and sustainable transformation of the Guyanese food system, in close partnership with the private sector, promoting local food security and sovereignty –becoming more significant in the aftermath of the COVID19 pandemic – and ensuring the inclusion of vulnerable groups.
Through investment, IFAD will support job creation for youth.
