Republic of Cuba Country Strategic Opportunities Programme
IFAD’s country programme (2019-2024) is organized around two strategic objectives:
Strategic objective 1. Develop and strengthen the human and social capital of smallholder cooperatives to boost their productivity and yield, increase their competitiveness and participation in agri-food chains and create new opportunities for women and young adults.
Strategic objective 2. Increase the adaptive capacity and resilience of rural households through the diversification of production to reduce the
adverse impacts of climate or economic change and improve food and nutrition security.
