50x2030 Global Data Use Conference

The first-ever 50x2030 Global Data Use Conference brought together attendees from around the world to discuss the potential uses of survey data as a tool to aid global development.

Attendees shared concrete examples of the use of survey data to address development challenges, inform policies and programmes, and provide solutions for investments. They also had the opportunity to establish new networks of decision-makers, discuss the similarities among the challenges they face, and foster learning and capacity-building opportunities.

In particular, this year’s conference provided:

• Key examples of the application of 50×2030 survey data in partner countries
• Information on the 50×2030 Data Use Framework, its overall methodology, and the available tools
• Discussions of the constraints on data use in certain country contexts and strategies to overcome them
• Dedicated sessions for networking and training.

Although this year’s session has ended, the Conference is committed to providing the same opportunities throughout the coming years.
