Annual General Assembly of the Donor Platform

The Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the Global Donor Platform for Rural Development (GDPRD) provides an open space for dialogue and discussion on critical emerging issues in rural development and food systems.

Coinciding with the Donor Platform’s 20th anniversary, this year’s theme reflects on 20 years of rural development and aid effectiveness.

Sessions include:

• High-level conversations on the evolution of agriculture, rural development and food system approaches
• The progression of financing approaches for food systems
• Donor coordination
• Perspectives on land governance and rural youth employment

Reflections around aid effectiveness, balancing emergency response with long-term sustainability and resilience measures, donor approaches and stakeholder engagement will inform forward-looking discussions and deliberations.
