Time: 15.00 – 16.30 (CET)
As the effects of climate change escalate, so too do the frequency and severity of food and economic crises. This in turn threatens food security as small-scale producers’ yields and resilience are limited.
Scaling climate adaptation finance for agriculture can only be achieved with private sector investment and the involvement of local financial institutions. However, many challenges impede this, including assessments of risk and costs of engagement.
This event, which will include a Q&A session, will discuss the challenges and opportunities of private sector finance and identify concrete investments and policy actions.
