IFAD at Terra Madre Salone del Gusto

Terra Madre, organized by the Slow Food movement, seeks to reshape our relationship with nature through food, creating a healthier and more sustainable future.

Since 2009, IFAD and Slow Food have collaborated to support sustainable grassroots initiatives that strengthen local value chains for traditional foods. A key aspect of this is the Indigenous Terra Madre network, which elevates the voices of Indigenous Peoples in global conversations about food and culture.

IFAD will be at Terra Madre to highlight its commitment to empowering rural communities, enhancing food security, and promoting sustainable and traditional agricultural practices. We will be joined by partners from the Indigenous Peoples’ Assistance Facility, which is co-financed by Sida and Packard Foundation.
