Austria and IFAD share a common commitment to reducing poverty, improving food security and achieving more sustainable economic growth for small-scale farmers and other vulnerable rural populations.
According to the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance’s Strategic Guidelines for International Financial Institutions (IFIs) the country, in its engagement with IFIs, aims to support the implementation of the 2030 Agenda by furthering poverty reduction and promoting inclusive and sustainable economic and social development that benefits the segments of a country’s population most in need.
