Athur Mabiso is a Senior Economist at IFAD’s Research and Impact Assessment Division. He works on the impact assessments of IFAD projects and conducts research on a variety of topics in development economics.
Mabiso has extensive research experience in the areas of agricultural policy, rural investments, food security, health and nutrition. Prior to joining IFAD, Mabiso worked at the International Food Policy Research Institute, conducting research and engaging with policymakers and development partners in several developing countries in Africa and Asia.
He holds a Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Michigan State University, an M.S. in food and resource economics from the University of Florida, and a B.Sc. with honors in agriculture from the University of Zimbabwe.
