Eric Rwabidadi is a Country Director in the West and Central Africa Division within IFAD. Rwabidadi manages and supports the Country Programmes in Niger.
Before taking his current position, Rwabidadi worked extensively with other country programmes including Rwanda (his home country), Kenya, South Sudan, Burundi and Zambia. He has held a number of leadership positions during his time at IFAD such as Country Programme Manager, Country Programme Officer, Associate Country Programme Manager and Task Master. In addition to his years of experience, Rwabidadi has been among the pioneers of IFAD’s decentralization agenda starting in 2005, and he significantly contributed to the establishment and management of the IFAD Country Offices in Rwanda, Kenya, Burundi and Zambia.
Rwabidadi is a lawyer with over 15 years of experience and has benefited from hands-on training in the areas of core IFAD operations including procurement, monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management and learning, collaborative design, value chains, micro/rural finance, land tenure, market linkages, communications, strategic performance management and institutional development. He is fluent in English and French.
