Jahan-Zeb Chowdhury is the Lead Technical Specialist for Environment and Climate at IFAD. He is responsible for ensuring that IFAD's climate finance target for core funding remains on track. He also oversees the other climate and environmental targets, including adaptive capacity, and manages several funds, including ASAP.

Prior to joining IFAD, Chowdhury was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Co. in Washington, D.C. He has also held various roles with bilateral and multilateral development partners, as well as Ministries of Planning and Finance. Jahan's expertise focuses on climate strategies, national planning and budgeting.

Chowdhury completed his MPhil from University of Oxford.
