Les Malezer, from Australia, nominated by Indigenous Peoples’ Organizations. Malezer is an indigenous advocate since 1970s. He served as co-Chair of the National Congress from 2011-2015 and has extensive experience advocating for indigenous peoples’ rights at the national and international level. In 2014 he was appointed as an Adviser by the President of the General Assembly in conducting consultations on the outcome document of the World Conference on Indigenous Peoples.
