Naoufel Telahigue is Head of IFAD’s Multi-Country Office for North Africa and Eastern European countries. He is also Country Director for Morocco, Armenia, Ukraine and Serbia.
He develops country strategies, focusing on policy engagement, investment and partnerships for agricultural development and rural poverty reduction. He is also responsible for programme management, from design to completion.
Telahigue has more than 20 years of experience in agricultural development, environmental sustainability, climate finance and rural transformation. He is a drylands expert and has experience in remote sensing and environmental monitoring and modelling.
Telahigue holds and has an engineering degree from the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia and an MSc. in international rural development with focus on natural resource management from the Royal Agricultural University in the United Kingdom.
