Roshan Cooke is IFAD’s Country Director for Nepal and Bhutan.
Previously, Cooke was IFAD’s Lead Technical Specialist for Environment and Climate in the Asia and Pacific Region where he mainstreamed environment and climate concerns into the region’s investment portfolio. He was instrumental in rolling out the first set of projects funded by IFAD’s Adaptation for Smallholder Agriculture Programme. Prior to joining IFAD, Roshan had roles with UNDP in East Africa, the Canadian International Development Agency and the Global Mechanism of the UNCCD.
Cooke has a Master’s in Forest Conservation, a BA Specialist in Environmental Studies, and a BA minor in Political Sciences from the University of Toronto.
