Wei Wang leads the South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) and Global Engagement Unit within the Global Engagement, Partnership, and Resource Mobilisation Division at IFAD. She is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships and collaboration with governments, public and private institutions, foundations and research entities of developing and developed countries, to foster cooperation in the areas of policy dialogue, knowledge exchange, technology transfer, investment facilitation, and business to business collaboration, as well as to increase opportunities for innovation and the scaling-up of SSTC initiatives in IFAD's programmes and operations.

Prior to IFAD, Wang served as Director of Financial and Risk Management Division in the Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation of the Chinese Ministry of Finance. She has in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in development business, development policy, International Financial Institutions (IFIs) program management and financial supervision.

Wang holds a Master of Business Administration from the McNeese State University, Louisiana, USA.
