Northern Region Agricultural Rehabilitation Project
Inadequate pumping equipment had led to a shortage of irrigation water along the Nile River in the Northern Province, and crop output had declined as a result. By rehabilitating pump schemes and other equipment in the area and by strengthening farm support services, the project enabled farmers to increase their productivity and incomes.
