Artisanal Fisheries Development Project
The objective was to improve the output and incomes of artisanal fishers. Project activities supported by IFAD funds included:
- providing fishers with new outboard motors and spare parts for repairing 150 existing motors
- importing and distributing new nets and other tools and instruments
- importing material required for repairing motors
- providing technical assistance to the government for project management and for establishing storage facilities
