East Bank Essequibo Development Project - IFAD
East Bank Essequibo Development Project
This project supported the rehabilitation and maintenance of drainage and irrigation structures, as well as feeder roads, in the target area. It also improved local market facilities and provided smallholder farmers with inputs, spare parts and small equipment.
Another project component supported research, training, agricultural extension services and access to credit for smallholders.
When the project was closing, it implemented a bridging operation to coordinate activities with its eventual successor, the Poor Rural Communities Support Services Project.
