Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Rural Advancement Programme
This programme works to sustainably and equitably reduce the incidence of poverty among rural women and men by improving their access to information, technology, rural financial services and markets. Its beneficiaries include extremely poor and low-income households, particularly those headed by women. People in these groups often have low skills and limited access to financial resources.
The programme aims to:
- Demonstrate innovative approaches to rural poverty reduction
- Strengthen participatory planning and management
- Apply demand-led programme modules across the target area, making adjustments to reflect local conditions
- Directly benefit women through programme investments, ensuring that at least 50 per cent of all beneficiaries are women
- Improve the operational capacity and sustainability of rural finance institutions
- Provide programme support that enables women and men in poor households to sustainably improve their social and economic situation.
