Buen Vivir in Rural Territories Programme - IFAD
The project will benefit 25,000 food-insecure, poor rural households living in eight different territories (roughly 16 per cent of the country's rural population), that are largely dependent on small-scale agriculture and related activities for their livelihoods and consequently, are vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
The programme will focus on:
- strengthening capacities for territorial development;
- territorial initiatives investment fund;
- participatory monitoring and evaluation;
- programme management and organization.
The programme is fully aligned with IFAD's strategic framework, as well as its operational policies dealing with diverse issues including the environment, indigenous peoples, social targeting, gender and access to productive assets and rural finance.
