Strengthening innovation, Resilience and the Sustainability of Agrifood Systems in North Central Honduras - IFAD
The development objective of the Strengthening Innovation, Resilience and the Sustainability of Agrifood Systems in North Central Honduras (INNOVASAN) project is to improve the income, food security and climate resilience of vulnerable rural populations through the development of nutrition-sensitive, climate-resilient agrifood systems. Its goal is to contribute to poverty reduction and equal opportunities for these groups in the North Central region of Honduras.
A total of 34,688 families of small-scale rural producers living in poverty and families from vulnerable rural populations, or 138,752 family members, are estimated to receive the promoted services.
The project has the following components:
Investments in social, economic and natural human capital of smallholder families living in poverty.
Strengthening the capacities and coordination of the Government and other stakeholders in the territory.
Management and administration.
