Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project in Jammu and Kashmir - IFAD
The goal of the Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project in Jammu and Kashmir (JKCIP) is to contribute to a sustained increase in the incomes of rural households by improving the competitiveness and climate resilience of farming operations.
The project directly benefits 159,000 men and 141,000 women of whom 90,000 are youth and 30,000 vulnerable communities, namely scheduled casts and scheduled tribes, accounting for a total of 300,000 households and reaching 1.5 million individuals.
The project has four components:
- climate-smart and market-led production;
- agribusiness ecosystem development;
- support to vulnerable communities;
- project management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and knowledge management
