IFAD Impact Report 2023
The Impact Report 2023 shows how rural development projects financed by the proceeds of IFAD’s sustainability bonds will support over 8 million rural people around the world. This includes enhancing production, access to markets, nutrition, job creation, climate resilience and infrastructure.
In 2023, IFAD issued its first sustainability bonds in Euro. Together with the inaugural issuances in 2022, the total amount issued by the end of 2023 was US$344 million.
IFAD’s sustainability bonds directly contributed to achieving 10 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and 16 SDG targets in 2022 and 2023, and indirectly contributed to 16 SDGs and 58 SDG targets. This report connects IFAD with impact investors who share our conviction to achieve the SDGs.
